i love your smile
i am beginning to love toronto (i have to admit) because it brings me to concerts like charlie winston, and ratatat, and dave matthews, and city and colour. i've loved charlie for a long time now: it has been almost six months. and for me, that is a long time. and now that i've met him, he's a perma-favourites-lister. but, what's not to love about an adorable-hat-wearing, british-accent-speaking, stick-in-your-mind-lyrics-making, beat-boxer with a harmonica-playing bandmate?
i look a bit deranged. i've taken maybe three pictures with favourite band members that i've met, and i hate all the pictures because i look like i'm thinking, "i'm so excited that i think i just peed my pants a little..." but thanks tyler for snapping this one. i love you more than charlie. a lot more.
love,
me.

i only hope my kids are as cool as these ones...
sometimes i wonder if i could love my own kids as much as i love these ones...just kidding...i'm sure these kids will get uglier and meaner as they get older, and mine will stay cute and cuddly forever.
i'm only half kidding.
love,
auntie holly
the mountains made me cry...
i drove through a lot of mountains this summer. i took this when i was driving alone. i had forgotten what mountain streams looked like. i drove to this song.
ty was in a wedding. i got to take pictures on the side. if i were good enough, i'd be a professional wedding planner and a wedding photographer. i don't care how this makes me look: i love weddings. also, with some time to spare, we wandered vancouver's china town. but this next picture is for you, adam and nicole. so is this song. (i hope it is a love song, because i don't have any idea what she's saying...)
love,

wanna pack your bags, something small, take what you need and we disappear
this was our anniversary weekend. tyler surprised me with new lenses that have changed our world. i surprised him with a weekend in upstate new york where we climbed waterfalls, walked the sacred grove, ate at moosewood restaurant, and learned how to use our new lenses.
we drove to this song. best. weekend. ever.

i always want to be with my own family
the problem with taking pictures with old cameras is that it takes too long to get your pictures back... here are some from our trip home. my gramma's funeral, my family all together again, and enough pancakes to feed an army. literally.
this month we are going to chicago to see a my all time favourite band (mind, they have been split up for 6 years...so this is old, beloved music of mine...) that i thought i'd never see and a dave matthews band (tyler's all time favourite) concert. also, 4 sisters, 2 brothers-in-law, 5 nephews, and 1 neice are coming to visit. we will be very busy at other concerts, drive ins, palmyra, niagra falls, chasing lions and taking lots of pictures. i accidentally let my nephews take pictures with my believed "indestructable" digital while i was home and they accidentally broke it beyond repair, so we will have to find some kind of replacement for snap shots. wish us luck...
